September 1, 2014, the Association “Ukrainian Amber World” participated in two important events: the official reception of the Embassy of Ukraine in China, dedicated to Independence Day of  Ukraine and the opening of the “Ukrainian House” in Beijing during which was presented the exhibition of artworks made of Ukrainian amber.

“We are very interested in culture of China for there is Ukraine where two “Great Roads”: “Amber” and “Silk” ones intersect. Therefore especially for the exhibition a collection of art objects of Ukrainian amber being mined in the “Volodymyrets-Skhidniy” amber deposit, in Rivne region was created”- says Vitalii Lemets, the Vice-President of the “Ukrainian Amber World” Association.

Every artwork produced by the “Ambra Simha” art-studio (member of the “Ukrainian Amber World” Association) is an innovative combination of materials used in the classical techniques in accordance to the world’s artistic traditions. Amber mosaic panels from the series “Space” – the author’s technique and non-trivial combination of amber and natural materials. The folding-screen “Amber Universe” combined three different techniques: stained glass, mosaics and wood carving. Artistic possibilities of combination of the free-blown glass with the drops of “amber dew” shows the installation “Heaven Flowers”.
Art photo exhibition represents amber being more than 40 million years old, as an independent art object and invites the viewer to plunge into the mysterious world to unravel the unique history of each “drop” of sun.

Amber has long been and still is revered for its beauty and healing properties, in all times it was an exquisite decoration and powerful talisman. Amber is a symbol of health, success, power, wealth and status.  Each piece of amber-succinite in the artworks is natural, environmentally friendly, extracted with deep respect for nature and the environment.

The Association “Ukrainian Amber World” represents a new, non-trivial look at the “sunny treasure” of  Ukraine – amber and invites you to a journey through the modern “Amber Road”!
